Owner Michael began learning the trade at a young age under the guidance of his grandfather, a respected flooring professional who built a reputation for quality workmanship and integrity. Long before he was old enough to drive, Michael was spending weekends on job sites, learning the fundamentals of surface preparation, installation techniques, and customer service. His grandfather believed that success was earned, requiring Michael to complete proposals and learn the business side of the industry before heading off to spend time with friends.

 

By the age of 12, Michael was actively assisting with installations, gaining hands-on experience that would become the foundation of his career. Over the years, he worked alongside his grandfather, uncle,  and brother developing the skills, attention to detail, and work ethic that continue to define Coastal City Coatings today.

 

After the passing of his grandfather, Michael chose to carry on the values and craftsmanship that had been instilled in him from an early age. While the family flooring business continues to operate nationwide on large-scale commercial projects, Michael founded Coastal City Coatings to provide homeowners, businesses, and property managers throughout the Houston and Galveston areas with premium concrete coating and flooring solutions backed by generations of industry knowledge.

 

Today, Coastal City Coatings specializes in epoxy flooring systems, polished concrete, decorative concrete coatings, vapor mitigation systems, coating removals, concrete restoration, and commercial flooring solutions. Every project is approached with the same commitment to quality, honesty, and craftsmanship that Michael learned from his grandfather decades ago.
